THE HIDDEN SIDE

This map shows two faces that for the artist reflect the situation of violence suffered by women in her country;  On one side, you can see the frontal synthesis of the map of Peru together with the figures of  Femicide and attempted femicide 2016 according to the  Registry of Women's Emergency Centers; and the back of the work shows a conglomeration of chaotic red threads that represents  the thousands of women whose cases of violence remain silent. It is what the country hides, what is invisible.
